Even if you have a full-time job, you might need some extra money. Maybe you’re not earning enough from your paycheck to live as comfortably as you’d like. Maybe you’ve got your eye on a big-ticket item and would like to save up the money to pay cash for it. Or maybe the holidays are coming up and you want to be able to buy something special for that special someone.

Whatever the reason, there are many ways you can earn extra money. Here are some ideas for your consideration.

* Get a second job. Lots of businesses will hire part-timers to work just a few hours a week. Check the “Help Wanted” ads in your local newspaper or just walk into businesses that interest you and ask if they would be willing to hire someone to work part time.

* Babysit. During the school year, lots of parents need someone to put their kids on the bus or watch them after school. Some also need a sitter on the weekends. Babysitting after school or on weekends won’t take up much of your time, and you can get other things done while you’re watching the kids (especially if you watch them in your own home).

* Do jobs that other people can’t or don’t want to do. Whether it’s mowing lawns, detailing cars or shoveling snow, there’s good money to be made providing these types of services, and you won’t have to quit your day job to do it.

* Find someone to do occasional cleaning jobs for. Property managers will often pay someone to clean rentals that the tenants have abandoned or moved out of. If you’re just looking to make some extra cash here and there, this could be the perfect job for you.

* Sell stuff on eBay. You can make some extra money just selling stuff you’ve got sitting around the house collecting dust. Or if you want to take it a step further, you could make craft items to sell or find deals on new items and sell them at a profit.

* Start a blog. There are some people who make a full-time income by blogging, but there are lots more people who make a little extra cash with it. However, it takes more than just setting up a blog and writing. You must be willing to put a little time into promoting it each week. Once you have a following, you’ll be able to get paying advertisers.

These are but a few ways that you can make extra money while keeping your day job. We all have skills that we can put to use to earn some extra cash on the side. Think about all of the things you can do, and you’re sure to come up with something!
